Personality & Behavior
Kovu is a lively and energetic young dog who is full of personality and always ready for playtime. He especially loves chasing after a ball and can keep himself entertained for hours! However, Kovu’s playful side can sometimes get a little rough, so he’ll need an owner who understands his energy and can guide him with patience and positive reinforcement.
Kovu came to the shelter along with Sarabi, under complicated circumstances. Their previous owner shared a story about rescuing them in Algoz, but it turned out they had been with her since they were puppies. Despite this rocky start, Kovu is now safe and ready to start a new chapter.
While Kovu has a big, bold personality, he isn’t fond of being held and prefers his independence.
Adoption Requirements
Home type : Kovu would thrive in a home with plenty of space to run and play, with an active family or individual who can match his energy and provide the guidance he needs.
Experience level : Kovu will need a confident and experienced owner who can respect his boundaries and help him feel secure.
Other pets/kids : He is ok with Sarabi, which came in with him, but not with the other dogs.
