Adoption procedure
At Tiny Shelter, our goal is to find loving, responsible homes for our rescued dogs. Every adoption gives a dog a second chance at happiness. Here’s how the process works:
1. Find your match
Browse our available dogs online or visit our shelter to meet them in person. Each dog has a unique personality, and we’re happy to help you find the perfect match!
2. Submit an adoption application
Once you've found a dog you’d love to adopt, fill out our application form. This helps us understand your home environment, lifestyle, and experience with dogs.
3. Adoption interview & home check
Our team will review your application and contact you for a chat. We schedule a home visit to ensure a safe and suitable environment for your new furry friend.
4. Meet & greet
If your application is approved, you’ll be invited to spend time with the dog to make sure it’s the right fit for both of you.
5. Adoption paperwork
To finalize the adoption, you’ll sign an agreement and provide personal identification.
6. Welcome home
Your new companion is ready to start a new life with you! We’re always here to offer advice and support as you both settle in.
7. Follow-up & support
Adoption is just the beginning! We’ll check in with you after a few weeks to see how things are going and offer guidance if needed. Our team is always available to help with any questions or challenges.
