Personality & Behavior
Toots’ story began in a very sad way. He and his three brothers, all tiny black puppies, were found beside a rubbish bin by one of our volunteers when they were not even a month old. They had been left there alone, far too young to survive without help.
Thankfully, they were rescued in time and brought to safety. One by one, his brothers found loving homes. But Toots is still waiting.
Growing up in the shelter, Toots has been surrounded by care, affection, and plenty of cuddles from our volunteers, and he absolutely loves people. He is incredibly sweet, affectionate, and very endearing. Everyone who meets him quickly falls for his charming personality.
As he has grown, Toots has also shown the typical energy of a young dog. He is still a teenager, full of life, playful, and always ready for activity and fun. Toots is a mix with pitbull-type features, so he will need an adopter who understands strong, energetic breeds and can give him the structure, exercise, and guidance he needs to thrive.
Toots has grown up waiting for his chance. He’s loving, loyal, and full of potential; he just needs someone to finally choose him.
Adoption Requirements
Home type : Toots would do best in a home with a secure outdoor space where he can safely burn off energy; with an active family or person who can provide regular exercise and play.
Experience level : Toots would do best ina home with someone experienced or confident with strong or active breeds and with someone who is committed to continued training and positive guidance
Other pets/kids : He could live with another friendly dog, given proper introductions, and would do well with people who will include him as part of the family.
