Personality & Behavior
Snowy is a podengo cross with a gentle soul, but he’s had a rough start in life. He was rescued in 2022 along with his sister, who has since found her forever home, but Snowy is still waiting for his. While he’s come a long way, he remains quite shy, especially around humans. It takes him a little while to warm up, but once he feels comfortable, his sweet and affectionate nature shines through.
Though Snowy can be nervous with people, he gets along well with other dogs, although he has started to show some signs of bullying other dogs, likely as a result of being bullied himself in the past. This behavior is a result of his past experiences, and with time, patience, and the right environment, Snowy will gradually feel more confident. Right now, he’s still a bit shy with both humans and dogs, and his new family will need to provide a calm, secure space where he can feel safe to build trust again.
