Personality & Behavior
Safira’s journey has been full of challenges, she arrived at the shelter in need of emergency surgery for pyometra, and despite overcoming that, she has been battling Leishmaniasis, which has now started to affect her kidneys. She receives medication to help manage her condition, and despite everything, she remains full of life and love for the right person.
Safira is a people-loving dog with an intense passion for playing with her ball, her favorite pastime! However, due to her breed traits and past experiences, she needs a home where she can be the only pet or carefully introduced to a calm and patient larger male, under strict supervision
Adoption Requirements
Home type : A securely fenced property is essential, as she has a history of escaping and chasing other animals.
Experience :An experienced owner who understands the breed, is physically strong, and can provide firm but loving guidance. A committed adopter who is willing to provide the medical care she needs for her Leishmaniasis and kidney condition.
Other pets/kids : No young children, due to her strong character and past incidents, she is best suited for an adult-only home. A home without other pets, Safira has shown aggression towards other dogs and has a strong prey drive, making her unsuitable for homes with cats or small animals.
